The Jatayu Earth’s Center is the world’s largest bird sculpture, which is Kollam’s newest tourist attraction. This is the first BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) tourist project in the state, spanning 65 acres across four hills. On your trip to Chadayamangalam in Kollam district, the massive statue of Jatayu lying high up the hill attracts your eye even from a distance. The mythological bird Jatayu appears in the Indian epic Ramayana.
In Jatayu Rock, the traveler can expect a wide range of experiences. The museum and the 6D theatre inside the sculpture are two examples. From here, you can also take a hele-taxi ride! This is the ideal weekend escape for all action seekers! Play thrilling games with the backdrop of magnificent natural scenery. Choose from Burma bridges, commando nets, log walks, vertical ladders, chimney climbing, or side joolas and feel the adrenaline pour through your veins.

There are three nearest Railway Stations from where one can reach Chadayamangalam

Kottarakara railway station is the nearest and easily accessible which is 22 km and it may take 30 mins by road.

Kollam railway station is the 2nd nearest railway station which is 43kms and it may take an hour by road to reach.

Trivandrum railway station – 52 km;

By Air

Trivandrum is the nearest airport which is 52 km and may take an hour to reach the place by road.

By Road

Jatayupara is located approx. 200mtrs from Trivandrum – Kochi highway.
